Flute Lessons

Flute Lessons we offer at our school enable the students to learn all the required rudiments to be a well refined flautist. Our flute teachers help you to develop a deeper connection to music. From classical music, orchestral music, movie themes, and rock & pop music, a student can learn it all at The Young Musician Music Institute.

Students learn proper finger positions and posture, music notation, theory of music, good breath control, perfect timing, tonal improvement, right intonation, and some favourite songs. As the students move forward, they are introduced to more complex keys & time signatures, appropriate articulations, artistic interpretation, phrasings, importance of dynamics, and improvisational skills.

The Western concert flute is a family of transverse (side-blown) woodwind instruments made of metal or wood. It is the most common variant of the flute. This type of flute is used in many ensembles, including concert bands, military bands, marching bands, orchestras, flute ensembles, and occasionally jazz bands and big bands.

An early version of Antonio Vivaldi’s La tempesta di mare flute concerto was possibly written around 1713–1716, and would thus have been the first concerto for the instrument. Jethro Tull is probably the best-known rock group to make regular use of the flute, played by their frontman, Ian Anderson.
