Hiranthi De Silva is an accomplished and accredited music educator with over two decades of international teaching and performance experience. She holds both the Associate (ALCM) and Diploma (Dip LCM) qualifications from the London College of Music, conducted by the University of West London, United Kingdom.
In addition to her musical qualifications, she is also trained in Early Childhood Education in Sri Lanka and has successfully completed all graded examinations in Solo Piano and Theory of Music (Grades 1–8).
Hiranthi’s extensive background in music education and performance reflects her lifelong dedication to the art. From 2001 to 2008, she served as a Music Teacher at Little Stars Montessori House of Children in Sri Lanka. In 2008, she began teaching in Abu Dhabi, where she delivers piano instruction following the ABRSM and Trinity College London syllabuses. In 2019, she has been the Founder and Director of a Private Music Institute in Sri Lanka, continuing to promote excellence in music education.
Currently based in Abu Dhabi, Hiranthi continues to share her passion for music through piano instruction and professional accompaniment. She serves as a piano accompanist for students preparing for violin and other instrumental examinations with the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) and Trinity College London.
Her experience extends beyond classical performance; she has accompanied choirs, bands, and pop ensembles, and has taken part in music festivals organised by the British Federation of Festivals for Music, Dance and Speech.
Hiranthi is a registered music teacher with the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM), Trinity College London (TCL), the London College of Music (LCM) under the University of West London, the Institute of Western Music and Speech (IWMS) in Sri Lanka, and the International Institute of Music, Speech and Drama (IIMSD) in Sri Lanka.
Through her teaching and accompaniment, Hiranthi remains deeply committed to nurturing musical talent, inspiring students to perform with confidence, and fostering a lifelong appreciation for the beauty and discipline of music.
